Aether captures carbon from the atmosphere that is otherwise contributing to global warming, and transforms it into the highest quality, and rarest diamonds on the planet. Aether diamonds aren’t just less harmful, less destructive or “more ethical,” they are the first diamonds in the world that benefit the environment instead of damaging it.
Direct air capture technology is used to extract carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, setting the patented diamond production process into beautiful motion. This step has no geographic constraints and can be done anywhere in the world. All IGI grading reports for Aether diamonds include the time and location where the carbon was captured, as well as the total amount of CO2 that was removed from the atmosphere in connection with that diamond.
The captured CO2 is then synthesized into Atmospheric Methane, the hydrocarbon seed required for growing diamonds in a chemical vapor deposition reactor. Aether is the only diamond in the world where the hydrocarbon seeds are comprised of 100% atmospheric carbon, whereas all other lab grown diamonds require earth mined carbon for the seeding stage.
The Atmospheric Methane seed is then fed into specialized chemical vapor deposition reactors that are poweredby 100% clean energy. Over the next several weeks, diamond crystals grow one ambitious atom at a time.
Once the diamond crystals are fully formed, they are rough cut with a laser then sent out for final polishing.
