This year marked Valley Rose's 7th anniversary and if you told me 7 years ago what Valley Rose would become I would have not believed you. The ups and downs of running a small business has been my greatest career challenge but I would not trade it for anything. I finally look forward to my job, I get up everyday excited and I go to bed content. This year I juggled a growing business, a newborn and raising a 5 year old. My plate is more than full at the moment but somehow luckily it all gets done. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me as your jewelry designer in 2024. I look forward to being your jewelry designer in 2025.
Nothing makes us happier than hearing how you wear your Valley Rose jewelry which is why we personally read each and every review, comment and email. This year we have enjoyed being a part of all your epic engagements, anniversaries, and birthday celebrations. We are so grateful for your support and continue to look forward to being a part of your biggest milestones.
At the start of 2024 I petitioned all of you to take part in survey to guide the design of my collections. That survey was so much fun, maybe I will do another one for 2025! But it inspired me to design more bold and colorful gemstone jewelry. From birthstones to zodiac gemstones, I greatly enjoyed playing with more color this year. Also, I cannot wait to show you what I am working on for next year, it is going to be epic!
Gemstones were certainly the theme this year so naturally I introduced a highly curated collection of loose sapphires in a range of cuts and incredible colors to use in my bespoke ring designs. This semi-custom build your dream ring experience has been an instant hit with my customers. My sapphires are ethically sourced from our trusted lapidary partner and each one is one-of-a-kind.
This past November I took part in an ethical jeweler conference with local designers here in Barcelona, Spain. The ethical jewelry movement is a global one with many passionate designers all over the world that care deeply about the impact of their materials. I am proud to now be a part of this local community here and we discussed the many challenges that our industry still faces. The industry is far from perfect but just know that our movement is growing and some positive changes are coming in the years to come.
